Let the parents be involved

Times are changing, the culture has improved, we can now think for ourselves as young adults (we are empowered to make decisions at an early age). We know what we want and how we want it. For us to decide on whom we want to marry is usually up to us and sometimes for our parents to go along with the plan. Deciding on whom we want to spend the rest of our lives with is vital, therefore it will be great that we engage our parents in this decision. Some parents I must say are difficult, weird or just different (especially the fact that we and our parents grew up in different times but it’s the same JESUS we serve 😉!

What we see is what we follow

I was less than 11, when I started setting my alarm to pray in the middle of the night, around 2am or 3am. I only did this because  I saw my dad do it repeatedly, I don’t know why but I just did it. Speaking In tongues didn’t seem to be an option for me because I saw my Mum speak it all the time, and I just took after it. Fasting and Bible Reading became no issue in my life because it was my parents lifestyle. As children we will always do what we see. A parent can always preach all they want, and children will do all they see!

And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovahjireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the Lord it shall be seen. Genesis 22:14

GOD loved to have a relationship with Abraham because, he knew how to make sure his family will follow GOD. Isaac knew GOD as The Provider because his father believed him to be one,  and trusted GOD when HE told him not to go to Egypt 🇪🇬, and he stayed in a land of famine and he was successful Genesis 26:2-7

For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him. Genesis 18:19

As  Times are changing and as you get older, you seem to just stick to what works for you! And our parents are not left out…. Parents try to catch-up with the trends as much as possible but after a while they sometimes let things be!

In the midst of it all Parents make some decisions in this time and age that will sometimes seem weird and awkward! But as a child you have still have to respect them… For instance I prefer to text or chat up my parents here and there, but they insist on phone calls! 😐

It's all about you leaving it all to JESUS to pick the right spouse for you. It's not up to you to think it through, be where GOD wants you to be... Ruth got her spouse because she did exactly what she was told by Naomi (Ruth 3:1-8)

 GOD considers us all important, and HE takes it of great value when a man and his wife come together. HE bestows HIS favor when a wife is found, therefore calling it a good thing.

The funny thing is, this scripture doesn't talk about finding a girlfriend or fiancée, it's all about a wife. Don't play around or hold onto someone you will not marry. When you hang around the wrong company, the right person won't find you, or you won't find the right person.

When you look and act like the world, the world will take #Great interest in you. When you value the #Truth, a person who stands for JESUS is the right person for you and you will be happy in each other's company in marriage.

As you walk closely with GOD, you realize your life repels and rejects sin. You don't tolerate it any more. It is the same with people; you can no longer spend time with people who are not serious about their relationship with GOD.... you can't handle it anymore... Most importantly, GOD can no longer share you with the world! Therefore, HE lays down rules of association with the people of the world, and marriage is very critical to HIM. HE wouldn't want you to marry the wrong person. So, a person who does not love GOD genuinely is a "NO-NO!". Why? Because you see life through the things you value the most. If you love and respect your relationship with GOD, you handle life seriously from GOD'S #PERSPECTIVE.

You need to follow GOD'S GRAND RULES on marriage and don't have anything to do with an unbeliever in marriage. Do not marry someone who has been put away, for #GOD is #HOLY Leviticus 21:7. May the LORD GIVE YOU STRENGTH AS YOU OBEY!

Fathers and Grandfathers get what they put in. When they become old, they look at their children, the great things they've achieved and how they've influenced them. They become proud of their family.... and children take #Joy in their parents seeing how successful, loving and great they are.
