Times are changing, the culture has improved, we can now think for ourselves as young adults (we are empowered to make decisions at an early age). We know what we want and how we want it. For us to decide on whom we want to marry is usually up to us and sometimes for our parents to go along with the plan. Deciding on whom we want to spend the rest of our lives with is vital, therefore it will be great that we engage our parents in this decision. Some parents I must say are difficult, weird or just different (especially the fact that we and our parents grew up in different times but it’s the same JESUS we serve 😉!
HE is the same back then and now! The times changed but the WORD remains the same)… But the most important thing I have realized is… Praying that GOD gives each person a spouse that brings peace and joy to the family, trusting GOD that whomever HE has planned for us brings the family together, that everyone important to you can see the good and awesome things GOD has for you in them… As we decide as adults lets keep holding on to the guidance of the HOLY SPIRIT!
So he said, "I am Abraham's servant.
35 The LORD has greatly blessed my master, and he has become great. He has given him flocks and herds, silver and gold, male servants and female servants, camels and donkeys.
36 And Sarah my master's wife bore a son to my master when she was old, and to him he has given all that he has.
37 My master made me swear, saying, 'You shall not take a wife for my son from the daughters of the Canaanites, in whose land I dwell,
38 but you shall go to my father's house and to my clan and take a wife for my son.' - Genesis 24:34-38
